In this blog post we will discuss Archangel Gabriel, which is the third card of the Major Arcana.
The Archangel Gabriel card is the third card in the Major Arcana of the Akashic Tarot. I do not work with the angels, archangels or other entities and angelic beings (read the separate blog post here). I also do not call in Spirit misguides and other mischievous entities. However, I still read the archangel cards in this deck. Just in my very own specific way. The intuitive meaning of the card is as follows:
Upright Meaning:
When the Archangel Gabriel card comes out upright, it is all about communication. This card is also connected to Mercury, the planet of communication, messengers and messages. Perhaps you are a Gemini or Virgo. Perhaps not. Either way, you can most likely expect a blockage in communication clearing. This can be from situations stemming with others, such as work projects, long-awaited news or other cases.
For you, it may be an auspicious time to express yourself. This can be in a verbal, written or recorded form. Maybe you've been wanting to reach out to someone for the longest time. Or you have wanted to express yourself and your viewpoint for a while already. It appears to be a great time to get started on all this when this card shows up. Whatever you have to share, it is a great reminder that you are able to do so now.
Additionally, you may receive communication in any form. This can also have to do with formalities, legal paperwork and other things. Perhaps you were also eyeing a career in communications, journalism or any other fields related to it.
In addition, this is the triumph card. When this card shows up, success is guaranteed! The being carries a trumpet and is blissfully in his power. Perhaps you are undertaking a project and are even in need of communicating with others. All should go smooth in regard to this.

If you have been out of touch with your person for a little while already, you may receive a sign or actual communication from this individual. It seems the blockages may be cleared at this point in time.
Overall meaning:
All about communication and our desire to express ourselves!
Reverse Meaning:
When the Archangel Gabriel card comes out in reverse, this may be a sign that right now communication is off. Perhaps with your own self but perhaps also with others in your life. Are you familiar with the energy of Mercury Retrograde? When everyone is kind of set to misunderstand what the other person has said, takes things too personal or overall there are mishaps? Well, that energy is similar to when this card comes out in reverse. It may just not be the most ideal time for communication. If you still need to do so, say during a presentation at work, just keep in mind that the above may apply and don't take it personal.
If you are able to take it easy right now and not communicate as much as you have to, this may be the ideal case scenario. Otherwise, follow the above advice in situations you cannot avoid it.
Perhaps you are also simply having a hard time communicating with your own self and are being too hard on yourself. Pay attention to your thoughts, as they are your strongest indicator on how to re-navigate your life into a more positive way.
