Numerology and Predictions for 2026

Welcome to a brand new calendar year! Welcome to 2026! This year is ruled by the sun. And just like the name already suggests, we are indeed looking up from the energy of the previous few years into sunnier fields.

How does numerology tie into planets and why do those dictate the energy of the year ahead? In this article, I want to discuss the numbers and numerology we are dealing with for the upcoming year and how these might interact with us on a daily and worldly basis. Join me in my very first group call for this year here!

First of all, let's talk about the actual new year and why so many people nowadays feel January 1st is not the actual date. I have written an extensive analysis on it in a previous writing, which you can read here. This will be helpful for some to discern why we have 4-5 different dates and proposals for it. And what the traditions are behind the actual new year.

However, the current reality remains that when the matrix controllers switch us up to a new calendar, we start the new year energetically on January 1st each and every year. Fun fact: Since around ten days went amiss when the calendar switched from Julian to Gregorian in 1582, this original timeline of the new year would have been closer to what is our January 14th and 15th these days.

Working with the right numerology:

What type of numerology do I use to predict the energy for the year ahead? The following numbers are dissected with the help of Chaldean Numerology. I have been studying this type of numerology for the past 6+ years already.

It is one of the oldest numerologies out there! Even newer ones, such as Pythagorean numerology, are based off its core concepts. Due to its age, maturity and ancient wisdom it holds, it is also the most accurate one when digging through our own numbers and matrix deceptions.

Simply put, we can use it to turn our lives around. Since the matrix runs off numbers, you might as well know how to play the system elegantly, right?

I have used it in my own personal life when looking for homes and apartments numbers, for business numbers, for fortunate launch dates, when doing day predictions, when working with my personal day number, for scheduling conflicts - you name it.

Numbers hold power and it's up to us to use that power wisely. There is value in the right type of numerology and using it to our advantage.

Numerology of the year ahead: 2026:

When we start a new year, we also start with the numerology determined for it. How is this numerology calculated? You simply break down the year number:

2+0+2+6 = 1+0 = 1! One is the number of a new beginning.

However, since sometimes the date is written as '26: 2+6 = 8. This means we are also under the minor influence of eight!

From my past observations, these two numbers tend to interact with each other and will be experienced to a certain degree throughout the year. The major influence will continue to come from the main number (1 in this case).

And because there is a 10 (fortunate) in the mix and 26 (not so fortunate) in the mix, we are under the micro-influences of those for the year ahead, as well.

Number one, governed by the Sun:

Let's start off with the overarching number, which is the number 1. One is ruled by the Sun. In traditional astrology (which is closely tied to Chaldean numerology), the Sun is the planet, which represents core identity, ego, life purpose, and vitality.

On the positive side, it acts as the central "engine" of our personality that drives self-expression, creativity, and our conscious will to shine. On the negative side, a strong sun can have to do with pride, arrogance, self-centeredness and domination.

This is an interesting and mainly positive energy we will be dealing with in the year ahead. The previous sun years we've had were 2008 and 2017. Of course astrology transits during those years were completely different. But numerology-wise, it might give you an overview of how you might interact with the year ahead. I invite you to go back and look at how deeply your life changed during those years.

If you are born on a 1 day (the 1st, 10th, 19th or 28th of a month), you might feel this year stronger than others. And you might see more changes due to that. Since the Sun is the planet that governs the sign of Leo, I would like to add that Leos may also reap the most rewards of the year ahead. Or at least interact with this energy the most.

In general, a sun year is a year things start shining, come to light and cannot be hidden in the dark anymore. The sun illuminates it all: The good, the bad, the nice, the ugly, the truth, the lies - everything!

It is merciless and washes over it all. There is no escaping it. The last sun years we've had, major deceptions were illuminated in my life (mostly to do with friendships and relationships). Life in general may change drastically (change of careers, homes and other aspects). This falls in line with the sun energy.

Number one is ruled by the sun. It is also the number of a fresh new start and new beginning. It will give us warmth, sunshine and perspective. However, unlike a moon year (which is the one to follow, in this case 2027), things will not be hidden, kept in the dark or remain murky...

Quite the opposite! This is the year to shine, if that is what you have intended to do. And intend to shine on all levels, if you do! For that the sun will provide us with the right energy of leadership, motivation and independence.

One is all about adventure, action and movement. It is about creative expression, originality, leadership. It is a number of strength, confidence and dominance. One is a strong number of authority. There is barely any time for contemplation.

On a world level, political moves might fall in line with that. We've already started seeing it with the official downfall and capture of the Venezuelan president in the first few days of 2026. My predictions for the year ahead is that ego clashes between political figures can become more common. So may be the need to step into authority, take control, invent new things, appear original and the desire to be seen.

You may feel the needed power and shift to make significant changes in your life, if that is what you desire. Moves, career switches, and other major changes can come up to the forefront right now.

There is always a negative side to a number and this one is no exception. In this case, bossiness, hastiness, tactlessness, ego, dominance and impulsive decisions may emerge. This needs to be carefully monitored and corrected, if so.

In the traditional tarot, the one equals the magician card. The magician is all about manifestation, resourcefulness, willpower and new beginning. It represents the power to turn ideas into reality by connecting the spiritual (above) and material (below) worlds. It shows you have all the tools and potential to achieve your goals, urging you to take focused action and step into leadership to manifest your desires. In reverse, it can warn of manipulation, wasted talent, or a lack of mental clarity.

Overall, I predict this year to be more positive than the previous ones, because we leave behind a lot of the struggle energy we've experienced since 2020 and on. The influence of the sun does help a lot!

Number eight, governed by Saturn:

The underlying and softer meaning to the upcoming year comes through with the number 8. Eight is ruled by Saturn.

According to Chaldean numerology, eight can be all about power and materialism. Eight represent financial rewards, good judgement, and recognition. The love for control and having a quite robust personality. Being a constant for the universe. On the positive side, eight can bring out the drive for success and generosity. On the negative side, this might highlight aggression, dictatorship and extremes. Eights are materialistic and strive for success. However, this can also have to do with balance and striving for justice.

Indeed, the tarot card that goes with the number 8 is the justice card. It signifies fairness, truth, accountability and karmic balance. It represents the principle of cause and effect where actions have consequences, often relating to legal matters or difficult decisions requiring objectivity. It calls for honesty, impartiality, and taking responsibility, using logic (scales) and decisive action (sword) to weigh facts and deliver fair outcomes, ensuring equilibrium. 

Saturn is the "Taskmaster" planet. It teaches us lessons through hard work. Saturn represents discipline, responsibility, structure, limitations, and karma, bringing challenges that build maturity, resilience, and long-term achievement through hard work, patience, and confronting reality, often associated with authority figures, tradition, and the lessons learned from delays and restrictions. It governs areas of life needing structure, career, long-term goals, and the development of inner strength, teaching valuable lessons about commitment and reality. 

We got the full-on energy of Saturn back in 2024 already. This may have been the "struggle" year for many, in which things did not go as planned. Overall it was a strange year. I don't think this energy will repeat itself this time, around. However, the 8 influence might remain to a small degree, in case you are wondering about this.

Micro-influences of this year:

The micro-influences of this year are 10 (2+0+2+6= 10) and also 26 (written as '26). They are seen as compound numbers. These are the interpretations of the numbers:

10: The wheel of fortune. Ten represents honor, faith, and self confidence. Their plans are likely to be carried out. This can be a fruitful number with positive backing of their ventures.

26: The disaster. Twenty six is full of the gravest warnings for the future, mostly to do by association with others. Without proper mitigation, there will be problems on the horizons based on earlier decisions.
