Why do New Agers get so triggered? Throughout my life, I have never seen people become as triggered as when talking about spirituality or in the spiritual community overall. You say one word, one phrase or one sentence and boom - people come to attack, hit the unlike button or unfollow altogether. It's like half a decade of my teachings and psychic insight do not even matter anymore because their favorite cult teacher or program was criticized somehow. The god complex in people grants them permission to shame, diss and "re-educate" anyone who dares to think outside of that program. In today's time, when people take things about as personal as can be, it is interesting to witness this phenomenon. Some call it cancel culture - others something else. No matter what it is - it's not serving anyone.
I get when something does not resonate slowly and over time. My preferred people have changed a lot over these past few years, too. That is something else. But how someone after one little word just becomes offended for a lifetime - it's mindblowing to me. The way New Cagers come to my platforms and leave their troll comments and messages - it is quite something. As if those comments would change my opinion or life somehow. It's almost like an entity is working through them to bring the mood down or harass me even further. Luckily I'm pretty immune to criticism because I know who I am outside of all these platforms and I don't define my life entirely through social media. Others? Perhaps not so much.
