Would you want to be friends with yourself?

If you were to meet yourself for the first time, what would be the characteristics you would feel most drawn to? What is the most you would like about yourself? Is it your sense of humor? Your sense of wonder? Your travel history? Your impressive skillset? Your warmth and hospitality? Do you make others feel comfortable in your presence? Are you entertaining? What is the least about yourself you feel others would be drawn to (if even)? I invite you to take a look at these questions and sit with them.

Oftentimes we may rush to impress others or make a good first impression on others. Instead of just seeing ourselves for who we are and how we can bring that authenticity forward to others, as well. We may feel we lack something. Or that we are burnt out and don't have a lot of energy left to deal with certain situations. Or that perhaps we even have to compete somehow. When in reality all of that is silly. When we listen to what others say, how they think and how they feel about themselves, we often times get way more information than we would otherwise. We can only do that when we also feel comfortable with ourselves.

Would you be a good friend to yourself or would you turn into your own worst enemy? Because sometimes people are just that to themselves already. Instead of being their own best friend and loyal to their own kind.
