Happy winter solstice! I am sharing this older picture from December 2017 to remind you (and myself) that snow, cold and ice are not always a bad thing but can become one of the most beautiful natural elements out there if seen from that angle. This photo was taken in Iceland, a country I adore greatly and which I’ve so far only visited during the cold winter months (3 times that is).
I always had a bit of a love / hate relationship with winter and the colder months but every year I make it a point to somehow embrace this season, no matter how long it may last this time around and how cold it may get. After tonight, the days will get longer and that is a great start. Happy winter solstice (and for those in the Southern Hemisphere, happy summer solstice!).
